Week 3 Reading an Academic Paper
Jan 05, 2020
Read Research through design as a method for interaction design research in HCI. To be honest, I don't know how to react because I am new to both design and HCI in academics and cannot judge if the content is really true or not from my experience. So I will just write some concerns about the paper. It is written in 2007. Is this idea still a main stream in interaction design research in HCI area?…

Week 3 Module 3 and 4
Jan 05, 2020
Read module 3 and module 4. Module 3 It is about exploring different models of creativity and process. It is interesting to find out that this module has a lot in common what I learned in entrepreneurship class! (If you are interested, we use How to Build a Startup in Udacity as a textbook) For example, “standing on the shoulders of others” implies you do your business based on technology/market/etc developed by others.…

Week 3 After Class
Jan 05, 2020
In class 3, I learned several methodologies and methods of research. It's good to know those frameworks. But I believe the important thing is how to effectively use them and the best way for that is actually use/try/experience them. I would try to intentionally use one/some of those methodologies and methods for my assignments in this class.

Week 2 Brainstorming Module 2
Jan 05, 2020
For more details on brainstorming techniques, I read the relevant parts of Module 2. It explains some frameworks of how to do brainstorming and it is nice to know them. There are many techniques I have been using in these frameworks. One of them is to relax. It is super hard to relax when I get stuck on project. Whenever I feel I am in stuck, I intentionally try to make myself relax, go for a walk, have a coffee and eat dessert, listen to music, exercise, etc, so that I can be free from the thing I get stuck and get some fresh air.…

Week 2 After Class
Jan 05, 2020
We did some brainstorming activities and they were fun. They were useful as well, of course. In brainstorming, quantity is important than quality! I feel each of the method (outputting/selecting/modifying/eliminating/combining/etc) uses different part of my brain and idea flows out from my mind. Feeling good :-)

Week 2 Watch Everything Is a Remix
Jan 05, 2020
I watched a series of videos, Everything Is A Remix. I do not want to spend time to explain the idea but simply it is about, as its title said, everything is a remix. There are three methods of remix; copy, transform, and combine. It is a way to update/reboot/refine/etc familiar materials/things/themes and add new flavor to them. And I basically agree with his idea. My note is uploaded here: https://drive.…

Week 1 Self Portrait Idea 2
Jan 05, 2020
I video-recorded my drum play the other day. After leaving the studio, I had some thoughts about it, like I should have done spend more time and tried different styles, rhythms, angles, etc. But that's what it is and study learned for my future projects. Next thing is how to show/exhibit my self-portrait. Initially, I thought I would use this blog to upload my self-portrait; uploading the video on youtube, embedding it in my blog and the drum score as well like the following:…
